Our Partners & Associates

Learning Advanced has grown along side our partners and associates since our start in 2011. Time and again, these individuals and organizations, and all the wonderful people within them, have demonstrated that their commitment to our success is as great as our commitment to the educators we serve.

We all believe in the power of education and the importance of great teachers and have worked to create a professional learning community on a global scale. Together, we’re facilitating a dialogue that strengthens teacher effectiveness and increases student achievement, across borders and through language barriers. We share the same passion, the same drive, the same goal…learning together.

JT Rehill, Founder

JT Rehill has nearly twenty years of experience working as a consultant, trainer, teacher, and coach. As founder of Learning Advanced, he brings a wealth of experience in organizational improvement and professional development to his work with schools throughout Turkey and the surrounding region—helping to implement and manage programs on instructional coaching, leadership development, and school culture transformation.

He holds his Master of Science in Education from Wilkes University, is a RIVA-trained focus group moderator, certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) administrator, CELTA-certified English Language Instructor, and has completed the Erickson Professional Coach training program to compliment his experience as a professional coach.

In addition to serving as an Adjunct Professor with Wilkes University’s Graduate School of Education—teaching graduate courses in Educational Psychology, Philosophy of Education and Comparative Foundations of Education—he regularly shares his passion for learning at education conferences, with recent talks at the ECIS Annual Educators Conference, TEDxYouth@Kiev International School, and the Kosova Learning Summit.

Rebecca J. Dahl, Director of Institutional Learning

Rebecca is an international educator with experience at virtually every level of education. She has served as a teacher, counselor, principal, and curriculum director in K-12 schools, and in higher education as an adjunct professor. She has served on numerous national, and international commissions, addressing social/educational issues relevant to young learners and business/education partnerships, presenting at international conferences. She is also a member of the international accreditation, inspection, and improvement team for NEASC as well as the Fulbright Learning Specialist team.

Based in Dubai, she currently serves as the Executive Director of the American Leadership Board, a non-profit consortium of diverse international professionals who work to develop educational and organizational models for the 21st Century that honor local culture and heritage. As an associate partner of Learning Advanced, she acts as the Director of Institutional Learning, focusing on school improvement through 21st Century curriculum and assessment design and instructional leadership development.

Thomson Philip, Director of Education Technology

Thomson is the founder and CEO of Eloit Innovations, an education technology firm specializing in education technology that supports whole school management and systems-level improvement. Following his post-graduate work in advanced network engineering, he began his career working for IANZ, New Zealand’s premier accreditation body and as a consultant in the Ministry of Social Development before returning to his native India to start Eloit Innovations.

Today, Eloit is one of the fastest growing companies focused on academic quality benchmarking, rating process automation technology, and information systems for schools—recently winning the prestigious “New Business Creation Award” from Empretec, the flagship capacity-building program of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). As a result, Thomson is now acting as an official program facilitator for Empretec, training and mentoring new entrepreneurs.

As an associate partner of Learning Advanced, Thomson acts as the Director of Education Technology, overseeing the design, development, implementation, customization, and ongoing support for all our custom technology solutions for international K-12 schools and universities.

We started in 2011 with a mission to provide global resources to local teachers from our offices in Istanbul, Turkey.

As our work has expanded internationally and our operations grown, we continue leading and learning together as LEARNING ADVANCED.
